JGS Reference Books (Including Jewish Community Books)

The Library contains over 370 research books organized by topic. These books cover a very wide range of genealogical subjects, including the works of many important researchers and writers. The Jewish Community Books in the collection have been donated by some forty Jewish organizations located in various cities and states around the country.

Newsletters, articles and other materials from various Jewish organizations around the country (such as JCCs, Synagogues and Federations)

Jonas Collection

A private research collection donated by the Jonas family.

Library Hours and Research Assistance

The library is available 12 noon to 3 pm BY APPOINTMENT ONLY except for the following dates, when no appointment is required:

Friday - March 24
Wednesday - March 29
Wednesday - April 5
Friday - April 21
Wednedday - May 3
Wednesday - May 17

June, July and August library hours are by appointment only.
