Plough Media Resource and Reading Center located in the Phyllis & Harvey Sandler Center for Jewish Life Enhancement at the Levis Jewish Community Center campus in Boca Raton, Florida. JGS Reference Books/Jewish Community Books

A compilation of more than 165 books. These books cover a very wide range of genealogical subjects, including the works of many important researchers and writers. The Jewish Community Books in the collection have been donated by some forty Jewish organizations located in various cities and states around the country. Periodicals

Newsletters from seventy-five JGS societies throughout the country and from many parts of the world as well as all back issues of Avotaynu.

Miscellaneous Source Material

A collection of video tapes, CDs, maps, pamphlets and other useful information.

Jewish Community Publications

Newsletters, articles and other materials from various Jewish organizations around the country (such as JCCs, Synagogues and Federations)

Jonas Collection

A private research collection donated by the Jonas family.

This is a non-circulating library, publications cannot be checked out.

The JGSPBCI collection is available to members of our Society, by appointment only, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to noon. Note: Library hours are subject to change.

LIBRARY ORIENTATION

Wednesday morning Orientation Programs for JGSPBCI members are held during the winter months and into the spring. Irv Skorka will be on hand to introduce you to all the valuable resource material available at the library. Three computers and a printer are available for on-line searches. The library now has Wi-Fi internet service and members are encouraged to bring their personal laptops.

Sessions are held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Space is limited to five people each session, so make your reservation at least one week in advance.

MAP AND DIRECTIONS

The Levis JCC is located in Boca Raton, Florida. It is on 95th Ave. S. off of Glades Road, between Lyons Road and U.S. 441 (S.R.7). It is near both the Florida Turnpike and Interstate 95.

From I-95 or Florida Turnpike, exit at Glades Road and drive West. Turn left at 95th Avenue South traffic light. At the guard gate indicate that you are visiting the Sandler Center. Go left around the traffic circle. The Sandler Center is the third building on the right.

From U.S. 441, go East on Glades Road to second traffic light. Turn right into 95th Avenue.
